Wow what a whirlwind kind of a day! From an angry bird flippen kindergartener to painting with kindergarteners to loud students and a mini tornado who broke my speaker (almost my computer)... wow.

For a Monday, it wasn't too bad of a day. Things are finally starting to get back to normal. Now I just need to catch up on all the things I got behind in last week. Lol

Sooo glad it's Friday! Was going to settle in for a quiet evening and keep this simple tonight but then I realized that today is the 1000th day of me being creative in a row!!! Can't believe I haven't missed a day in 1000 days! Too cool. thank you to all those people that look at my creatures and have been following along thus far, it really means a lot to me. Time for some Advil and hopefully a good nights sleep.

What a Monday!! NOISY students, 2 1/2 hours at the urgent care, an hour to and at the pharmacy, then prepping for 2 classes tomorrow. After getting little sleep last, looking forward to crashing.
In honor of the last moments of summer and the needle stuck earlier into my jaw, its the inspiration behind tonight's piece.

This week has been nothing but a blur. Between some of our new students, trying new lessons, and other things I need to do to keep caught up I feel like my creativity level is almost non-existent in the artistic realm. I need to work on that a bit this weekend perhaps. Peace and fabulous
Another productive day, though still feel behind. After a repreeve from the early summer violence, more violence tonight on the Northside. One of the shootings a little too close to school. Pray for peace.

An overall very enjoyable day. Got a lot done today including oven drying my cherry tomatoes from the garden. They kinda snuck up on me and I didn't realize I had so many of them. Especially the yellow ones which I thought we're still ripening to be red but no they were yellow tomatoes! Smh lol. It really help warm the house with a deliscious tomatoey smell.

A floaty kind of day from the grocery store to the KARE 11 backyard to a park and to another headache.
Really like how today's piece turned out. It was one of those pieces that reveals itself to me as I create it. I just found myself getting more happy about it as it grew from from the shoes on up.

What a long day. But not necessarily in a bad way. All my classes were actually very enjoyable even the squirrely kindergarteners! Tonight's project took a little different twist than I had planned. Also a little twist in my style. Which is kind of cool cuz I was talking to my students about how styles can change specially.

Today's classrooms were much more evenly balanced, thank God! Lots of learning, planning and creating. Lots of new teaching ideas and plans and projects should be quite fun, especially with the older students. Peace and fabulousness.
For some of our new little students, I think the honeymoon is over. Lol some very interesting personalities are creeping up. It's all part of what makes teaching interesting.

Another beautiful summer day. And to top it off I got to see my friend Ann who generously dropped off many bags of magazines for my art room. It was so great to see her.

Least favorite day of the summer is going back to the State Fair to pick up student artwork. It just seems so sad, with no food and people and things coming down, The people that helped get all the projects gathered up were so helpful this year. Probably the smoothest pick up ever.
