Just Dave's Creations: 365 Days of Creatures

I took on the challenge of being creative at least once a day for the year 2012 using color. Looking back at all the pieces from 2012, I realized the ones that stood out and gave me the most joy, were the creatures (sad frog, the monsters,...) 2013 was the year of creatures. This year (2014) I'm continuing with the creatures but making them around the theme of children's stories/nursery rhymes. When all the characters are finished, I'll assemble them into a story picture.

Day 166: Yellow

Crazy day...again. The school year doesn't tire me out this much. Decidwd to do a bit of wordplay with my papercut. For some reason some of my friends pegged me with the name lemon drop on night. So I took it literally and made a lemon drop. Tomorrow is Friday. Peace and fabulousness!

Wednesday! Woo hoo! Today kicked my butt! But at least I have book club tonight which should be awesome. Haven't been there in 2 months. Today's piece is a bit of papercut humor. Bring a little lightness to the week! Peace and fabulousness!

Day 164: Yellow

I decided I had the need to paint ... really didn't have any idea in mind but wanted to just paint. It was an acrylic abstract with an inner message that expressed itself as I painted. Day 2 of SLAM better at one end and a bit more twisted at the other. Peace and Fabulousness

I am seriously realizing the lighting in my house is not good for art.... This piece looked a lot better at home. Tee hee hee

DAY 163: YELLOW

Today I did a papercut type seedling breaking forth. Must be because I haven't done anything in the gardens for a few days or it's a metaphor for my life at this point. As the first day of Summer SLAM hit one wall after another came home exhausted. At some point not enough cooks in the kitchen at others too many figurtivelly speaking. Actually took a 3 minute nap. Peace and fabulousness.

Day 162: Yellow

Today's piece was inspired by 365ers Rebecca's love blog. So I did a fractured yellow one on a green background. Finished my 10 pieces for the NOMI CSArt ...all I need is to box them up. Tomorrow day one of Summer SLAM ...hoping it's a good one. Peace and fabulousness! Will have to do a photo on Tuesday. The one I took yesterday, turned out very blurry!

Day 161: Yellow

Odd sort of day. Did get to see my neighbor's garden adventure. Whereas I have no shade they have too much! So since it was so hot I stayed in and worked on my 10 artshare pieces. They should be finished and boxed by tomorrow. If you want to get in on some great art pieces there are a few shares left.
