Day121 : Orange

The final day of orange! Ended up putting in a 10 hour day at work prepping for tomorrows 1st - 3rd grade student exchange. Did a paper piece..was kind of beat and almost put it off. Luckily I'm a bit stubborn. It wasn't the ta-da end to orange I wanted but it'll have to do. Peace and fabulousness!

Day 120:orange

Long interesting day. Tried to cover all areas of my life ...I just did a simple pen and ink. Not one like the challenge of the 365-ers but the stress of the upcoming week made it something I didn't want to tackle until later in the week when I can enjoy it. Peace and fabulousness!

Day 119: Orange

Today's sad frog paper art piece was an idea I had 2 days ago. I wish I would have done it the when the mental image was fresher. Oh well. Pictures on Monday. Peace and fabulousness.

Day 118: Orange

Had a great student art (and Choir/Social Studies) event last night. I had around 540 different student art pieces displayed. It never ceases to amaze me the creative things my students can come up! It was a fun, colorful and vibrant display of work. Today is a day of catching up, taking 95% of the art pieces, and teaching. My firtst gfraders and I had fun creating art while listening to old school music like ABBA, Erasure, the Bee Gees, Paula Abdul...It was our own art disco party! So I kept it simple. With only 3 more days of orange left, I know what I want to do for tomorrow and Mondays. So today, I just used left over bits of paper to create something. I'm tired too. Peace and fabulousness!

Day 117: Orange

Today is back to back craziness!!! Teaching, Dining Out for Life, setting up 100's of projects for the all school social studies/ art night, and then attending the school art night. Go go go...but it's stressful in good way. So I used leftover pieces of orange paper and quickly put together a paper piece of a lizard on a skyscraper's scaffolding in between classes. Peace and fabulousness.

Day 116: Orange

Happy Wednesday! Considering I bolted up wide awake at 1:30AM realizing how much I have to get done in the next two weeks, I'm feeling relatively calm today or it could be I'm just way tired or in a state of dillusion or am I still alseep! :D One thing I'm finding is no matter how crazy busy the day is or seems, doing this daily project ends up being a centering time. I thought for sure when I started this that weeks like these would be even more stressful with an added project. The exact opposite has happened. Being creative every day for a little bit or longer period of time is calming. It might be that it gives the left side of the brain time to process everything while the right side isn't being ignored nor neglected. A yin and yang time (or is it ying and yang? zing and zang? these are question asked by my inner blond/ my true self). I did a simple flower out paper today. One of my classes is a bit behind on a project, so I worked on the flower inbetween rounds around the room while they finished up theirs. Mum is doing well. Talked to her yesterday and she got home and is slowly feeling better! Yippee! She says " Thank you to all for their thoughts and prayers!" I echo that thought! Peace and Fabulousness!

Day 115: Orange

Started out this morning with plans to do a paper cut style flower, but ended up envisioning this piece, so I went with it. Tuesday's in my art room is the busiest. I get class after class after class. It's starts out with my calmest, smallest groups and grows and escalates from there. Figured out why some groups are so antsy, testing is this week. Really sad that so much is put on standardized testing. I would love to pull out that soap box, but I've headache since yesterday, so be grateful you were spared : D I haven't heard from mom, so I'll call her yesterday. I can't believe I have only a week left of orange! Next yellow (I like the color but having trouble imagining what I can possibly create with it!) Peace and Fabulousness!
