Day 366: All

Happy new year's eve! Spent the day at the gym, cleaning and doing laundry... Things that help keep the mind occupied.
Decided to do a pen and ink in all the colors that I used throughout the year.  Thank you all for following me and supporting this year long endeavor.  Truely peace and fabulousness to you all in 2013!

Day 365: Purple

Wow!!!!!!! I have done something creative for 365 days! I can't believe it! I admit there were days that were not the greatest but I did something everyday this year.  Unbelievable!
Now the question is do I continue on or try something new for a year.  There are more colors to play with or do I attempt a theme for a year? Atleast I have an extra day to decide.
Trying to close things out for the new year and have my house in order as well...little ocd about this.   While doing things today a shadow of loneliness hovered...was doing so well. Oh well.

I did it!! I found the number glitch and the numbers on here are correct!!! Wooo hooo!!!
Working at the North Points Shop today. I also had lunch at Filios and then did an interesting paper piece.

Day 363: Purple

Got up today to a coating of new fluffy snow!  Glad it was fluffy snow since I would be shoveling to properties, mine and the friends I'm housesitting for.   Realized this morning that my post numbers are seriously off and a few posts didn't get posted!  Ugh!  I attempted to get this straightened (2 hours later it's still off! )  Too funny!  So I packed up my stuff and said good bye to Tippy and Ginger (my furry neice and Nephew) and went home!  So nice to be home... until I realized how much stuff I put off getting ready for Christmas and house sitting. 
So instead of doing any of that, I did a paper fish scene and caught up on all the programs I have recorded (DVR had 1 hour of space left).

What great day of window shopping on Grand Ave, lunch at Brasa and reading a great book.  Feel like I did a good job of enjoying the holidays as a single... Until today.  But it is what it is

What a nice day of visiting, eating and game playing with family.  It is amazing how a babies world is about eating and sleeping and how burps ans poops are cause for celebrating.   Can't wait to hold these little gems... Haven't yet due to lingering cold.
So I did another pen and ink while visiting my feline babies.

Merry Christmas!  Had a wonderful with family, especially my 2 beautiful nieces Teresa and Corrine!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas shopping can be a lot of fun if you have the right mind set for it... leave plenty of time, hydrate and enjoy!  Did a bunch of that today... oh and Caribou Coffee helps some too!

My brain is on overload while my body is on hyper over tired mode.  Almost forgot to do today's piece, so I did a simple pen and ink. Only 13 days to go!

Day 352: Purple

Only about 2 weeks to go on this journey!  Not sure I'll continue it or switch it up a bit....
While this week is all about getting stuff doing before school break and the holidays, I almost didn't get a piece done for today.  It's simple and that's ok!

The students were great today and had to resist the urge to hug each and everyone of them.  Didn't hear the tragedy in CT brought up once.  I was going to have them make something for the children there, but my sense was it would be too much right now for them, maybe the memory of Peter's death is still too fresh. Hug your kids and teachers today.

Day 351: PURPLE

Talked to sis today.  She's so tired of the hospital.  Can't blame her.  She's doing well, in pain.  They hope if all goes well to remove her lung tube tomorrow and then if it is still strong she can go home maybe on Tuesday.  The babies are slowly getting stronger and gaining weight.  Since they lost so much weight, it could be a week or 2 before they go home as well.

Realization today, I'm not a breakfast type person.  Went to a local cafe for breakfast, and all I could think is bland!  belch! : )

Today did a simple pen and ink in between making homemade sauce and lasagna... turned out a bit salty but okay!

Day 350: Purple

Kind of a slow moving day of playing catch up and baking due to it raining all day....  Tammy and the babies are doing well, Tammy is getting tired of being in the hospital.

Day 349: purple

So purple oops tired. Taught, had a kindergartener get sick in my room, did a bit of shopping, and then hung out at the hospital with sis and the folks as sis had to go into surgeryy for lung collapse #3. So far so good. Inspire of being sooo tired, did a unique paper piece.

Did today's pen and ink waiting in the hospital waiting room.  At 9:47 & :48 Teresa and Corrine were born.  I'm an uncle to 2 beautiful nieces!!

Day 347: Purple

My sis is hanging in there. Surgery went well.  They'll bring the babies into the world  tomorrow if all goes as planned! Spent the day preparing for my sub tomorrow so I can be at the hospital.  taking a day off teaching is so much extra work! But it's worth it to be there when my nieces are born. It was so sweet hearing my student's excitement and them telling me they were praying for her.

Day 346: Purple

What a stressful day.  My sister is due with twins and had lung recallapse. They had to put her in surgery to add a bigger tube at the same time the babies were knocking at the door.  Grateful for all the people praying for her and her husband.

Day 345: Purple

I am so happy to live so close to a bus route!  Got up really early to shovel the mess the plows leave as they clear out the alley.  Grateful it was heavy hardened snow and didn't take too long.  I was right 13.5 inches fell.   The snow was so pretty on the tree tops next to the clear blue sky!! Wish I had a sled!
Did a paper piece today with my second graders  who are doing 3D paper winter scenes.

Day 344: Purple

Snow!!!!!! Got up to see if I could get to my volunteer shift at church and realized with my small car, it would not be advisable.  Shoveled every couple of hours today until 9:00 tonight.  It has to be over a foot of snow out there.   SOOOO pretty (though started to not think so after the 4th round of shoveling
/ by 5th round was ready to move South)  So I kept today's peace simple since my arms were tired from shoveling all that snow!

Day 343: Purple

Got up to find out sis is in the hospital!!  She had a collapsed lung, not good, especially when you're almost due with twins!   She's doing much better and is breathing so much better!  WHEW!
Worked downtown today at Points North.  Great little shop with art from the North side. Be sure sure to stop by and find unique art pieces!!!  Kind of bummed nothing of mine was in there, but it is what it is.  Fun to be downtown during the hustle and bustle.

It's so nice to have things back to normal, except health wise.  Hopefully that'll change soon.  Tonight was our staff dinner and I didn't go due to the health issue, instead just vegged and did an interesting pen and ink.  Love how these two colors go together and plan to use them more often.

What a performance!!!! They nailed it!  I'm so proud of them!!!!
So today starts playing catch up....though I have a sense extreme tiredness and soreness, plus being back on antibiotics is going to put a bit of a damper on that... Had kindergarteners saying beauteous today, they are so cute.  see. I'm tired and rambling and need to stop typing.

Today's the big Christmas Program, all is set and finished and the students are ready!!!  Can't wait!

I'll be 98% by the end of the day with all play related things!!! I'm just hoping the backdrops go up smoothly and fit the frame!  Tomorrow starts operation catch up with the rest of my life!
