Sis had a large tube put in for her lung and then they sent her to Abott.  Tomorrow they decided what to do next, possibly surgery :/

Wonderful day of seeing my folks, holding my beautiful nieces and eating peeps! Sadly it ended with sis going back in hospital due to another collapsed lungs.

Friday, Good Friday, day off Friday! Woke up early, hit the gym finally and treated myself to an ok lunch.

Pushed it hard today and stayed late at school and got a lot done. Starting to get a wee bit of spring fever!
Some of my students really liked that yesterday's creature was wearing a dress, so this one is too.

Today's piece is kind of fugly... oh well.  SOrry!

AHHHH!  They finally fixed the radiators in my classroom!  It was like a sauna this morning...no matter how many windows I opened or fans I turned on it didn't cool.  Luckily they came in relatively early so only 2 classes had to suffer : )   It was a day of getting things done, since I want to have all finished, set, and planned before I get a week off for Spring Break!  No big plans, I just like to come back to a room that's ready to go vs a room that full of things that need to be finished.

Awoke headache free! Relaxing day, read an amazing book, talked to mom who's back from vacation (missed her) and created this little Sculpey/painted fella.

Happy Friday.  Another hot day in the classroom room.  Disappointment in the not having the heat turned off. Shudder to think what my classroom will be like on Monday after a weekend with the radiators at full blast.

Took a sick day at work today and just slept in. After not getting much sleep all weekend while housesitting and now a cold, decided it was probably a wise idea.  Glad I did. 12 hours I slept!
Growing up, we weren't raised to lay around when you were sick.  We still had to get up, do any chores or what have you. Laying around in bed all day was not an option and is still not for me.  It is an option, but one I chose not to take.
Did a odd creature today, blaming it on the head cold.  : )

Another snowy commute, but spring is coming!
After almost a week of house/kitty sitting it sure nice to be home.  It's nice to have everything at hand to do my creatures. I'm also so looking forward to going to bed!  How sad is that lol.

BONUS!

I made this out of dried out markers. For the longest time, I had to buy my own classroom set of markers for my students to use.   So I started to save them after they dried out.   Then the idea came to glue them together to make a person.  I also made a sign for our remodeled library.
       The boy is dressed in our school uniform.  The kindergarteners were arguing over whether it was them or not.

Surprisingly today went very well.  Thursday's for some reason has become the least favorite days of my week, replacing Tuesdays.  Even with the slippery commute from  a friends place, it was a good day! YAY!
Since I was at a friends place caring for their pet, I did a really simple pen and ink.  I'll try and post the picture tomorrow.

What a day!  Even by Tuesday's standards!!  Great highlights (Tammy gets to go home today!!!) and low points (It was announced that Pastor Mark Denyes passed away).  Add the other Tuesday business, an added project I needed to do with the students requested by an outside source needing it NOW and an added meeting that I was to present at.... all things considered, it was a good day.

First 45 minutes of the school day spent in the dark (power outage),  rest of the was actually pretty good, which is amazing for a Monday and being a Monday after daylight savings time!
I did a papercut that I wish included sound affects.   Got a lot done tonight incase I need to visit someone at the hospital tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed that I won't have to ( because it'll mean they get to go home).

It seemed like a long Sunday.  Worked at church this morning.... it was the official first day with the new senior pastor, a swearing in of sorts (can't think of the proper term), so the services went way long!!   From there went to the hospital to visit with someone for the rest of the day, which was nice.  We read the paper, chatted and watched HGTV.  A lovely way to spend a dreary day.
For creature, I did a pen and ink during the break between service.

Wet, rainy and cold Saturday.  Spent the day on the go, taxes done, visit with a friend and sat with another in the hospital.

Bizarre long day.  AM drive to work = detour around police tape due to a shooting and seeing 2 men fighting each other in the middle of the street near work @ 6:40 AM!  Later another road sectioned off due to a police standoff with someone as I drove to visit someone. And later still, getting lost due to a detour in South Mpls and having to drive around the still going police standoff.  Beginning to wonder if a move is in order
Tired.   Just did a tiny (less than an inch squared) simple pen and ink.

What a lovely sunny afternoon!  Great day with the students, came home started my switching up the areas in my house that just are not working.  It's those little things that you see day in and day out, that make you think I should move that, put it away, switch it around, etc.. that add little bits of stress.  It is so freeing to take care of it and later when you walk by it, it's a bit liberating.
Today's piece, I just made.  Started by cutting out the shorts (longing for Spring) and it just went from there.

Nothing like 9" of snow, 2/3 of it having to be shovelled very early in the morning.  Seeing so much new snow first thing in the morning, well let's just say it felt like a small balloon inside quickly deflated. Actually made it to work on time.  Very frustrating when almost all the other metro schools (except for 3 districts) declared a snow day. :( oh well, you just make the most of it and create a paper snowman that sums it all up.

A wonderful Sunday.  We had a send off for the now former Senior pastor of our church.  His passionate way of preaching will be missed.  Also got to the library and found some fun new books!
Took a lot of left over pieces and made this dragon type creature.

Beautiful sunny days, got my taxes done, ran at the gym and made 2 pieces....had a moment of panic when I thought forgot to do one yesterday, but then I remembered.  Whew!
The mouse is the front of a card I made for Pastor Dwight who is retiring from the pulpit.  He speaks with great passion, heart and care.  I wish him the best in his next endeavor.

So glad to be done with this week.. need a couple days to regroup and be away from work.  Next week Ill post pictures of the 2 projects I finished....actually I'll post one now:).
I so did another set of eyes for my creature...It's how I've been feeling.
