Almost done with the Christmas program sets, by tomorrow it should be finished! Thank God. Knees sound like gravel, back and shoulders like boulders. Can't wait to have the house back to normal. Lack of sleep and appetite is getting old too.

pushed it hard again on painting the backdrop sets. I think I'm close to being at 90% done. Did get outside and enjoy some of this lovely weather. Almost ended up with some kittens. Thus today's inspired piece. Hoping to sleep tonight unlike last night with my body being so sore. I think I need a live in masseuse. Lol.

Today's piece is how I feel after painting backdrop sets all day. At least 98% of the canvases have paint on them. Now I just have to do another coat or two on about 35% of it. Time for a hot shower and a good night's sleep.

Ugghhhh! Today's piece says it all. Highlight: 1 awesome class and a student who came to me to help him repair something special of his that was busted. And then there was the rest of the day, which included one student trying everything from screaming, mocking me, etc to get kicked out of my room for 45 minutes. I won.

Wednesday.... Getting started on the school Christmas program backdrops. Also doing my final list of students selected for the first Art Club....talk about pressure. 30 applied, and I'm only taking 12 - 14. Sigh.

We closed school today so our entire staff could attend our 5th grade teachers funeral. So grateful. We got to see aside of Dana that we didn't always see. Something powerful and beautiful to take in a memorial service as a unified group.

Cleaning of the fridge, rearranging of the garage, Trader Joes and many loads of laundry. Fun! Trying to mentally ignore the snow warning coming on Monday. After the past 2 winters, leaving strongly disliking the thought of winter.

Had a creature in mind for today that I thought of this morning. But then our school community got sad news. Dana our 5th grade teacher lost her battle with cancer this morning. :( so I changed ideas and did this one for her. Time to go to bed and lose myself in a book.

Oh Sunday, proceeding Monday. Got a lot of plants out of the gardens though their a lot left to do. Getting an extra hour feels like a major gift of time today.

A day of cleaning including a full classroom set of water color paint holders. I think we got a faulty batch of refills so I'm cleaning it out just make sure. All this cleaning gives a person a lot of time to think, reflect....and funky stained hands.
