Spent the morning wandering around the home and garden show. Wondering how do people afford to do things like siding, windows, excetera.  I just don't get it. I know I'm late to the whole home ownership thing, but beginning to wonder if it was better to just rent.
Then spend the next 7 hours prepping /finishing little kids chairs that my students painted, so I can varnish them tomorrow so they're ready for the silent auction fundraiser.
Was supposed to put together the past two weeks worth of projects into one, but just ran out of time and steam. So I did a motherish Goose piece. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the other thing pieces assembled. Hopefully?

Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow... Yay! Another two of my chair painting students went rogue today. They got over exuberant and painted more than they should have. If this were a normal art class type thing it wouldn't be so bad, but this is for a fundraiser for our school. It's funny how many times I've painted over these chairs. Each time they paint I paint over what they do as exact as they've done it to add a second or third layer of color. So it's like these chairs have been painted two to three times by them and me. Too funny.
Back to the fairy tale already in progress.

Wow! Tuesdays are killer busy, especially today. I got so much done as did my student painters, though 2 went rogue.  I like it, but doubt the powers that be will. Add to that an epic night of dreaming. Sometimes my dreams are so intense and vivid that feels like another 12 hours of a day. Last night's were pretty darn awesome.  Peace and fabulousness.

Day 44 (1140)

Today feels like multiple days rolled into one. Not having to go into work until 930 was awesome! Got up early, went to the gym, ran an errand, had a lovely breakfast at Emily's all before getting to work. Today was conference day which is really tiring between telling parents great things and things that need to be worked on in a way that makes them feel comfortable and yet know what the situations are. Plus Dorwatha our principal made us some wonderful lunch today, so delicious! But I am beat so today's Fashion Week creature is a bit fugly. Sorry.

Oooooooh boy.
On a positive note, I <3 my art club students: fun and creative.  They are so respectful of each other and make the most of their time.  Wish we had more than a half hour twice a week.  It'd fun to be part of the creative process to show them another perspective, but I'm happy tp just facilitate and guide them through their own creative process.

Again for a second day in a row,  not too bad. It was really cool to see the students I work with on a side creative venture really think through what they're doing. This was true especially with my 6th graders who were painting something that was not turning out at all. They saw this and reinvented what they were doing. It was awesome to see.

Not too bad for a Monday. The highlight had to be sitting in a quiet comfy room with a cocker spaniel snuggled up to me while reading for about 10 minutes. I love dogs. Peace and fabulousness.

Oi! Thursday you should consider being Friday.   Seriously. So flippen tired, though the dreams this week have been kind of cool from epic style dreams with earthquakes and volcanoes, to romance, to student class issues (boo).

Promised myself a day of rest and creativity. Promise delivered. Spent the day exploring different mediums. I used pen and ink, bead and wire, and paper cut. Many cool and exciting things surfaced with these different mediums. So cool. The muse is at work! Wishing I had an extra weekend day just to continue this. Today's piece is in honor of the " big day" except the bowling ball should be out of the hand but thought it was easier to put it in the hand, so it looks a bit off. Sorry.
