Keeping it simple since this is School Christmas program week. Already looking forward to the weekend.  Didn't get enough down time last weekend and can feel it. 
Bonus: snowmagedon is not as big as thought.  Whew!

Great Sunday of church, 4 hours of putting up the tree and reflection.  All of that was nice, but it would have been more enjoyable shared.  Such is life.
Tomorrow is this winter's first snowmagedon!  Run! It's back!

Oooooo boy!  Noisy excited students... Can't blame them.  They have 5 days off. I'm sure some of it was laced with uncertainty as the peaceful protesters were shot at by asshats in their neighborhoods.  I don't know how much to say at this point since I have to gaurd my tongue the next several days.  Just Smh. Smh.

Not sure what to say.  As one who has been struggling with a balance between darkness and light, sadness and joy, made a choice most would disagree with. When I was about to give in as usual things beyond myself helped me to stay true to myself as painful as it was.   Self, alone, struggles, tangled.

TGIF.  Love my Friday classes and a needed hug from a friend. Need to disappear this weekend, and what better way than into the brilliant new album 25. So musically satisfying.  If I could just turn off the world and cocoon myself in her music with art supplies my equilibrium would be restored.

Went to bed early last night and dreamt about creating art all night which means I need to get going. Itching to do my own.
Painting backdrops tonight per usual.  Realized I'm really not as complete on one as I thought.  One huge spot not done! Oh well. Galloping horse, right Stephanie? Not! Lol.
Also stepped over into a new painting style in one section that made me uber happy.

Another day with a heavy heart. I had the opportunity to go to Paris about a decade ago for a charity bike ride. I fell in love! It was probably the only place I have visited foriegn or domestic that I have fallen in love with. I left, as most my friends know, a part of my heart there. Today's events are just so sad. 
My thoughts and prayers go out to Paris during this ugly time.

Smh & sigh.  This week has been something else.
Our third grader was taken off life support last night and decided to head for greener pastures early this morning.  :'(
Really starting to dislike my favorite season fall. Third fall in a row our school has had someone from our school community pass away.
Living alone/single has been a blessing and a curse during weeks like this.  Though having my house a disarray with Christmas program backdrops all over can drive me a bit wonky, after today maybe a canvas covering most floor spaces isn't so bad.

Yesterday was full of fun and opportunity, today was the opposite. A lot of sad news among many people I care about, including one of our third graders who is in the hospital and may not make it through the night. My heart breaks for her mother. Starting to hate fall. Please pray for a miracle and her mother.
Side note: today's piece is dedicated to all those who have dedicated and serviced our country with honor and bravery. Thank you.

What a great day to play hooky! Went to The Jason Show which was a lot of fun! Took a risk and gave him one of my art pieces which he loved and now is displayed on his show's display wall. What an honor! Then thanks to gift cards got a new rug for my dining room, a delicious lunch, excetra excetra. Today makes up for yesterday's doldrums. The birthday wish that didn't come true. A long day, but a great day! It felt like 4 days rolled into one. Great time teaching, painted sets, went to a great concert TobyMac! Things just got a little weird on the drive home. Decided to get some groceries as a result. All good.
Felt a little pressed for time, so I'm not sure where today's creature came from. Just popped into my head and took very little time to put together. Made it before the concert, Woo!

Wednesday? ... Wednesday.  Starting the backdrops to the school's Christmas program, so good-bye living room, dining room and tv/library/art room.  It's all good.  Felt good finally putting paint to canvas.  Though really going to try and not lose the current artist creative streak. Blog may have to suffer a bit. Sorry :'(

Today's piece popped up during church today lol. it's funny where these imaginative creatures and project ideas come from when. Planning tomorrow to go back to the original story that I've been working on. Doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to get all these new ideas done. Still have several from this summer in addition to the new ideas. But I am grateful that I have continued this creative stretch in spite of all of things going on with school. Hope to keep this trend going now as I start the Christmas program sets!
