Last day in class with the students.   Can actually say that was a pretty good year.  Tomorrow's the all school picnic though I'll spend most of the day....you guessed it. Packing!!

After working out, spent the next 14 + hours teaching, packing up box 66, and 8th grade graduation.  I am a sweaty mess.  TGIF tomorrow!

6 hours at school packing boxes after we set the alarm off.  Not including everything I brought home, I'm up to 5 large boxes and 32 regular boxes pack.

It doesn't look like I've packed much, but I have.
I was so grateful for a beautiful, quiet (for NOMI) evening with no breeze so I could put together all the kindergarteners books of colors in between loads of laundry. Yay! Such a beautiful Spring evening!

TGIF! Kiddy Karnival with whistles  (bad Rich!), packing, critique/graded/portfolio checked /Artsonia photoed 4th grade, weeding and stone edging lowering. 
Highlight after going to the gym early stopped at Caribou.  By the time I got to the counter, my coffee was made before I ordered it.  A bit scary since it's been about a month since I've neen stopping there in the morning.  I try to be extra nice 'cause the other customers seem so cranky! It pays to be nice and shout out to you awesome batista!

Shhhhhhhhhhhh.  Forget how noisy it gets this time of school year.  Made a dent in all areas  of to do lists today: grading, Artsonia, packing, State Fair collecting,...

Today's piece sums up the day except for noisy kids! Did some more backing of the room.  Who other than an art teacher pack a couple boxes with corrugated cardboard and another with paper towel tube station? Made me chuckle...do people still chuckle?
The creature reminded of a kindergartener who just couldn't pull it together today! Whine and tears.

Where did the day go? I was power scrapbooking the well wishes for Ms Woods all day.  When I looked at the clock while cleaning up thinking it was 5, it was almost 8! Yikes!

Happy Friday!  Woke up way too early but got in an extra long work out in, had awesome classes today, turned in my floor tiles design for the art room  (students are loving it) and now ready for a weekend of catching up and doing a project others thought of and I get to execute (you know how that goes fellow artists).  Grateful itll be a bit chilly.  Will make it easier to stay in and get 'er done!Have a great weekend!

Thank God my students were awesome today. Hit the wall this morning  (metaphorically? Is that a word- I know it's a word but is it the right word. Lol Good grief!)
BUT it sounds like we can get boxes tomorrow so I can start packing the art room (yay) and I spent the evening mapping out how I want the new art room floor tiles to look.  May have to readjust the top design in the morning. The plan is due tomorrow, but I have my top 3 ready.

After an unexpected meeting and the student event to honor our principal, I can finally get back on track to catch up on Artsonia and grading and packing. Yes. This wet weather is helping.

Oh Monday.  A blur of activity as I try to catch up.   Kinda need a break.  Almost decided to take a break from this blog as well. Not quite ready.  Just need a  dip back in my creative pools, but hard to do with the project left to finish by Wednesday, grading, updating Artsonia, assemble kindergartener color books, planning the floor patterns for the art room (who knew that was a thing) and packing the entire art room to 3 different locations in a way that will be easy to unpack in fall for the new curriculum that I'm writing. Yay me?

Whew! After all the hard work for the past several weeks,  last night's event went amazingly!  We celebrated  the 29 years of Dorwatha Woods being principal of our school Ascension.  Wonderful evening with an amazing turnout. But after being the emcee, creating 20 table settings plus artwork, I hit the wall. But it was worth it.
Now all I have to worry about is 4th quarter grades and packing up the entire art room for the summer. Meh. Lol.
