Today was so much better! Today's group reinvigorate my excitement trying this new way teaching art.  Some were shaking with excitement!  Yay!

First day of school!  Feels the most unprepared in 23 years due to lack of furniture and such, but grateful none the less.

Ugh.  Screaming tantrum throwing kindergartener.  Worse one EVER!
Feels like October not second day of school.

Spent most of the day at school and left feeling good and exhausted.

Last day before the students arrive! Ready as I'll ever be!  Whew! Had a great conversation with a neighbor today.

So overwhelmed! Came in this morning and saw painters.  Had over 100 boxes left to go through with no shelving.  Finally got tables at the end of the day.  My body hurts in so many ways.  Grateful for all the upgrades but this is ridiculous! Blessing and a curse.  Thankfully we can go in tomorrow for 10 hours. 

Do much to do and so much not done!
10 ribbon winners at the State Fair.  2 first place, 3 third place and 5 honorable mention winners! So proud of my students!

What a day! First day back in the classroom.  Tons of boxes little furniture.  Spent hours just wandering around the room figuring out what I could do.  Trying not to be overwhelmed. 
The building and room is so nice.  So blessed! Will it be ready by Monday's first day of school? Smh.

Great morning workshop and then volunteering at a golf tournament the rest of the day.

Registration for the new school year done! So glad most of it is online this year, so much smoother and quicker.

Day one back at a teacher's retreat at the Twins Stadium.  It was fun to see the stadium.  I am however feeling extremely overwhelmed at the amount I have to get done by the first day of school.  It sounds like we won't be able to get back into our rooms until next week.  Between that and starting a new curriculum....smh.

Whew! God is good! I realized last night as I went to bed, my students' art project were due today for the state fair! I had nothing ready.  So I got up early and had everything framed, labeled and entered by 12:30.  Whew!
Good way to end summer break. Lol!
