Day 30 (396)

Happy Hump Day!  Can't believe it is already Wednesday and only one day left of January.  I did pretty well on my January goals.  This year I set my New Year's Resolutions and am breaking them down one month at a time to reach them.  So each month I set the goals for the month, reevaluate them at the end of the month and set new ones for the new month.  Otherwise I find I just rush into the goals and finish them quickly and don't work towards anything else.  This months was right on track (other than the stomach virus weeks) and started some new habits!  Yeah!
Had another headache night, so today's is a bit odd.

What a crazy busy day, very Tuesday.  BUT it was an awesome day of teaching and school bingo.  Plus for most of the day I felt back to normal.  :)

Second Sunday of not feeling well, upset stomache still, headache and so tired.  Did a zombie ant.  It's how I feel. Now off to shovel.

Saturday's are so laid back.  Almost too laid back. Grateful for the police who helped take some old electronics and TVs off my hands while braving the cold.
     Little worried since I'm feeling a bit like I did last weekend. Really don't want to be sick anymore. :\

Friday.  What was going to be a short day ended up long. 
Was thinking of my friend Gayle and she likes turtles.  So here's one for you Gayle.

Day 24 (390)

Whew!  What a whirlwind!  As I was putting all the art pieces up, I realized that tape I used wasn't great and watch as art pieces floated to the ground like fall leaves.  I basically ended up taping over half of the art up again.  (I'll count tomorrow how pieces I actually put out when I take it all back down.)
         The highlight of the night was announcing the winners of the art contest.  I had interested students submit a picture of a book character, cover, or scene.  We're going to make a big mural in our renovated  library.  I ended up choosing 16 winners instead of 10.  The look of pride and happiness on their faces was awesome.
         The frustrating part of tonight was that art seemed to be the after thought or background to this Social Studies night.  In the past, the word art would be added to the note letting parents know, not this time.   When parents were told during the program what to expect of the evening,  viewing the art was also omitted.   Too much work by my students and self makes this not sit well with me.
          So after a 13 hour day, I made a snail.
