Woke up in a very, very deep intense and visually intense dream....back to work....eye getting normaller ....tried to get the last 15% of the old vegetation bagged up until a neighbor stopped by to talk as about things like a prostition house on the block and how her dog doesn't bark much... Took bags of leaves and covered the new growths that I fear will be in danger because there is a chance of accumulating snow!!!....and found out about plans that I didn't plan, that I argued against and that were justified in the venue I argued against it.

80 degree day.  Spent the morning at WestHealth urgent care, they were so awesome, and I was out quickly.  Hopefully this eye saga will be done soon.

What a gorgeous day.  Even though my eye is even more swollen today, I got a lot done in the yard.  Also did a better creature today than yesterday's. So hoping my eye heads back towards normal tomorrow.

Swollen eye, left work early, enjoyed the 70 degree weather.  Not overly pleased with today's piece but the eye caused a bit of a challenge. But it is the weekend...though I feel like Monday is around the corner.  Not sure why this is happening.  Trying to ignore this and stay in the moment.

It was so nice to home after a day with hyper students, a work in the yard in the sunshine. While clearing away dead brush, found many new growths, including the  bulbs I had almost given up.

Day started with a huge fall off the back steps, but it was sunny out!  So awesome.  Took some time to read in the sun.  Getting the gardening itch, though I may scale back this year because the itch to go to Europe is a bit stronger.

Woke up to so much snow! Belch.  Nearly didn't get out of my drive way. Yet as much as it pains me, it was beautiful this morning.  A winter postcard...in April.
But the sun came out tonight and it was glorious!

THE SUN IS OUT!!!

             Ah, it is a lovely thing.

This week is going to wipe me out.  It seriously is sad how much time, resources and energy is put into preparing for and taking standardized tests.  If all that could be put into teaching instead, imagine the possibilities and the growth we'd see in students.  Even though I don't have much to do as far as giving those tests, it makes for a long week, when one has to spend the art class period having the students stay quieter than they are use to.
Typically I let my student's socialize as they create , but since classrooms around me are testing, they have to keep the noise level to minimum.

Hate the sound shhhhhhhhhhh by the end of the day.

Oh well,
           the powers that be will some day wise up.

I can not wait to get my new glasses tomorrow or for this fugly sty to go away so I can wear my contacts again. Staring at a computer screen/monitors for 5 hours with glasses that have dated lenses really created a lovely headache.

What a day!!  A snow storm, had to help in the office since all administration was late, A school lock down due to a SWAT team across the street that required a Jr high class join my 3rd graders, got to work with my library art winners, shovelled wet, heavy snow, all with the luxury of a stye.

Woooooo! Day 100! So I did a sad frog one of the pieces from 2012 that inspired me to do a year of creatures.
Another thing that inspires me besides you all who view these pieces, are my students. Some of them are having as much fun in this process as I am.  Seeing their faces as I show them certain creatures is so fun, whether it's sheer joy, confusion and dislike, it is priceless.

Good gravy! Winter storm warning in April! Really struggling to stay positive about it... No. More. Winter. Weather!  Did go out and clean some of last year's plants out of the yard as a few new growths have started. Yay!

Sis's surgery went well, though the pain was really bad.  By the time I left her pain was down to a 7. :/

After hitting the gym, making muffins and food for my folks who are babysitting the nieces while Tammy is in hospital, spent the rest of the day visiting my folks and chatting with the babies.  Seeing the 4 of them interact is priceless!

Sis has to have exploratory surgery tomorrow to see why her lung keeps collapsing.  So hoping they solve this for her and the babies sake.,,planning the food I'm bringing to the folks tomorrow who are babysitting so her husband can be at the hospital.
