Home! What a great road trip to Texas and back. Saw a lot of art and fun interactions in unique artistic communities. There was a small cloud of sadness that followed along. Left with the news of Philando Castile, drove thru Dallas the day after the police shootings and back again to watch the memorial service with the people of Dallas, the events of Nice while in Oklahoma city who lost two residents to it, then on to Kansas City whose resident shot the police in Baton Rouge, then on last leg of the trip find out my former student's mom was shot and killed in random drive by. I learned one thing on this trip people need to be quiet and LISTEN to one another.
