I took on the challenge of being creative at least once a day for the year 2012 using color. Looking back at all the pieces from 2012, I realized the ones that stood out and gave me the most joy, were the creatures (sad frog, the monsters,...) 2013 was the year of creatures. This year (2014) I'm continuing with the creatures but making them around the theme of children's stories/nursery rhymes. When all the characters are finished, I'll assemble them into a story picture.

Day 140:Yellow
Another hot day in the city. It was nice though that it would alternate between cloudy and sunny so I got a lot of the garden planted, mulched and ready to go. One of the best things that turned out was one of the front gardens, I'd mulched and surrounded it with weathered wood pieces taken from another gardens section. Turned out very nice!
One of the highlights of the day was a thank you note in the mail as well as a photo of a special event from my church.
I also got to catch up with my favorite neighbors including Lucy the bulldog! I <3 Lucy! She's solid, fun and happiness!
The piece I did was a paper square inspired by a painting in a book with my own twist.
Peace and fabulousness!
